Being a conservative, Roger Stone has worked mainly on the campaigns of Republican politicians. This included Richard Nixon, Jack Kemp, George W. Bush, Bob Dole, Donald Trump, and Ronald Reagan. Roger co-founded a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying firm with Paul Manafort and Charles R. Black Jr. in 1980. In 1984, the firm was renamed Black, Manafort, Stone, and Kelly. BMSK became a top lobbying firm by leveraging its White House connections to attract high-paying clients during the 1980s. Afterward, by 1990, it became one of the leading lobbyists for American companies and foreign organizations. Stone is also a regular contributor to a number of publications. According to his website’s biography, “Mr. Stone has written for the New York Times Sunday Magazine, The New York Times Op-Ed page and for Newsmax.com, Breitbart, the Huffington Post, and the FOX Opinion page. He has appeared frequently on FOX News.”[3] Stone is also the author of four books, including The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ (2013) and a sequel, Nixon’s Secrets: The Rise, Fall, and Untold Truth about the President, Watergate, and the Pardon.
