Hawaii is a holiday spot for both beach lovers and people who love to explore wildlife and mountains. Hawaiian food is delicious and unique it includes various tropical fruits which are grown on the island. Weather is also a factor that makes Hawaii an extremely popular tourist destination. The warm water, the plentiful reefs, fish, turtles, whales, and barracuda make the beautiful Hawaii islands a great place to spend a lot of time in the water. With all the different things Hawaii has to offer, it surely ranks as the most beautiful place in the world. When is the Best Time to Visit Hawaii? The best weather in Hawaii is in April, May, September, and October. November to March are the rainiest months, and June through November is hurricane season – though big storms are rare. Winter also brings the best waves for surfing, especially on north shore beaches. Hawaii is widely regarded as one of the most relaxing vacation destinations in the United States and across the world because of its world-class beaches, incredible weather, and laid-back island culture. Hawaiian beaches are also known as great surfing destinations. The culture of the Native Hawaiians is about 1,500 years old and has its origins in the Polynesians who voyaged to and settled in Hawaii. Polynesia is made of multiple islands that include Hawaii, New Zealand, Samoa, and plenty of others; it is all over the Pacific Ocean. Hawaii is one of the 50 United States and therefore a passport is not required for US citizens and legal residents. Though U.S. citizens and legal residents do not need a passport to travel to Hawaii, government-issued photo identification is required for adult travelers aged 18 and older. Kailua-Kona town is the best place to stay in Hawaii for a bit of an ‘urban’ experience on the Big Island (Hilo, in the east, is larger, but far more tailored toward local life). The Kona Coast (south of Kailua-Kona town) has lovely accommodations, coffee farms, and the beautiful Kealakekua Bay. The waters around Maui are calmer than the waters around Kauai, especially in winter. While both islands have good snorkeling, Maui has more top-notch sites and more are easily accessible from the beach. One particularity of this island is the black sand beaches which are made of ground lava rock. Hawaii is also the only American state to have two official languages, Hawaiian, and English. However, a 3rd unofficial language is also widely spoken, Pidgin which is slang combining words from many aspects of island life and culture. Oahu is also probably the best island in Hawaii for travelers on a budget, as you don’t have to spend extra on inter-island airfare, and the wide choice of hotels and vacation rentals means it’s easier to find a reasonably priced place to sleep.
