You’ll find many favorably priced goods in Aruba including Cuban cigars, Dutch Delft, and Dutch cheese. Many stores are closed on Sundays and close by 6:00 P.M.

Sports

SNORKLING
Aruba boasts plenty of coral reefs, marine life, and shipwrecks to keep both scuba divers and snorkelers busy for their entire vacation, and many people travel to Aruba for this reason alone.

KITE SURFING
Aruba is a fantastic island to practice all kinds of water sports. An awesome place for kite surfing in the southern Caribbean, with winds pretty much guaranteed,

HIKING
If you like Mountain climbing and getting some exercise, climbing Mt. Hoiberg is a great opportunity to get a little active during your stay on the island. At the same time, it’s one of those things to do in Aruba that is absolutely free for everyone.

CASINOS
Aruba’s casinos are for those who want to experience the excitement of gaming. All major resorts have their own casino and they are generally open from noon to just before sunrise, although some are open 24 hours a day for slots. The legal age for gaming is 18 years old.

Points Of Interest

CALIFORNIA LIGHTHOUSE
The California Lighthouse is one of the most famous things to see in Aruba.
This lighthouse is the most popular to visit and it is open all day. Experience panoramic views of the city and the sea.

NATURAL POOL
White powdered sands provide a fitting outline for much of the island and many stunning landscapes occupy the places in between but none of the attractions are quite as enticing.
The Concha site is enclosed by natural walls of rocky coastline. These outcroppings or pool rocks are natural and have allowed the inside of the pool to be calm and swimmable.

ARIKOK NATIONAL PARK
Aruba’s national park is called Arioch National Park. It covers almost 20% of the island and consists of three main zones. In the northern part of the island, you will find the North Conservation Zone, in the center, there’s the Central Activity Zone and in the Southern part of Aruba the South Conservation Zone is located.
Famous for its nature conservation, the landscape and its cultural and historical components. A perfect place for adventure, nature, and to enjoy the flora and fauna in all their beauty.

ARUBA NATURAL BRIDGE
On the second of September is a day Aruba will always remember.
The renowned Aruba natural bridge collapsed on September 2, 2005. Just before dawn on that particular Friday, one of the most popular Aruba Points of Interest attractions was destroyed by Mother Nature’s brute force.
Thousands of visitors to Aruba walked across the natural bridge each year. It was a very popular picnic spot and surely must have been photographed millions of times throughout the past few decades. Countless tours have been organized to show the visitors this unique attraction of Aruba for many years in a row.
The scenery around the collapsed natural bridge is still beautiful and picturesque, and it is quite relaxing to watch the ocean waves break along the limestone rocks.

What People AreSaying

This class is so hard and Ylona makes it so fun. She is always full of energy, and enthusiasm. She makes us sweat, smile, and laugh too. She cares about the workout, and the people. Also, she knows a lot. Sheri K
Healing….Brave Heart Workshops showed up at such a crucial time in my life and made an incredible impact I will never forget. Jill puts together a wonderful program. I can’t say enough. Jeremy S
Ylona is a great teacher. She is very motivating with comments about what muscle group we are working and how we are going to look if we keep it up. Also, Ylona will work a muscle group with several different exercises to keep you going. Sharon D
Ylona is an outstanding self-improvement fitness instructor. I have participated in many different kinds of exercise classes for the past 20 years, but Ylona is the only instructor that embraces each student in his or her self-improvement journey. Not only is Ylona concerned about her student’s physical, mental, and emotional gains, she is an enthusiastic leader with fine teaching skills. She sets an exercise conductive environment as she monitors temperature and lighting. She also provides a wonderful array of music that enriches the experience. Kathryn K
Amazing Workshop: Last July, I had the pleasure of attending one of the Braveheart Workshop retreats held in Nashville, Tennessee. The organizer was Jill Reynold. The facilitator was Dr. Laura Wood. It was a great experience. I got to experience Drama Therapy. It was an unforgettable experience, truly. Not only did I get a chance to visit Nashville, the city of music, but also, and more importantly, I got to experience Drama Therapy and heal my childhood traumas. Jill was super responsible and caring. She helped to arrange hotels, flights, transportation, meals and took us to concerts. She had an eye to discover talents. Because Dr. Wood was one of the most intuitive and skilled therapists as I discovered over the course of the weekend. The healing work was transformative and fun at the same time. The combination of performance and healing really made it much less intimidating and more spontaneous. I truly enjoyed the workshop and recommends it to anyone who has an interest in personal healing or psychology in general. Ada Y
Brave Heart Workshops Breakthrough Healing: Brave Heart Workshops. Jill kept encouraging me to attend a weekend retreat. I had some trepidation, not fully knowing what it was about. In addition, i was not in a place where i had enough money to go. Jill provided me a partial scholarship that allowed me to go. The weekend was such a breakthrough – truly Life Changing! For all ages – I am in my 50’s, and my healing journey catapulted onto an entirely new & powerful path. Colleen O
I have attended two Brave Heart Workshops — an incredible experience both times. Jill has so much experience with different modalities of personal wellness, which make her retreats so successful. I have personally enjoyed the drama therapy workshop weekends- which have brought much clarity and freedom to my own journey. Jill has a heart and a passion for wellness in body, mind, and spirit, coupled with the skills to make these workshops run efficiently. She balances therapeutic story and body-work with time and space for effective rest, reflection, and rejuvenation. Lonnie
Both of the Brave Heart Workshops I attended were great experiences for me, opening up a door to some issues from my past I was unaware of before. It was challenging, but one of the most enlightening opportunities of my life! I discovered the root of my trauma and was able to take home what I learned in the workshop and fully heal, conquer my fears, and confront major obstacles in my life. I learned about my strength, my desires, my needs, and my true authentic self. I am now a social worker and therapist practicing from a place of solidarity, clarity, and a grounded foundation. I found my voice and my freedom. I feel so blessed, grateful, inspired and hopeful that others can do the same through Jill’s workshops. Dorothy Y
